Red Lion, Boundary - Covid 19 secure.

Temporary Safety Measures and Government Guidelines.

During this time we have performed a risk assessment of the business to ensure we have done everything possible and practical to maximise the safety of both customers and staff during this pandemic. Please be advised we are making every attempt to maintain the best experience possible for your visit. Installed within the premises we have antibacterial gel dispensers, highlighted information points, as well as a screened main bar to protect our glassware and bar items. Our kitchen and toilet facilities are sanitized regularly and our staff are following strict hygiene regulations. Any communal equipment such as card machines will be wiped after each use, (however we still welcome cash).

We would ask our customers to follow these next simple steps:

  • Please maintain 1 to 2m distance from anyone who is not within your party. If/When queuing we understand this will be difficult but thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • Please use the antibacterial gel from our wall mounted dispensers upon arrival.

  • Our toilets are operating a 1 in 1 out usage and we have fitted them with single person locks to identify when in use. Young children should be accompanied to the toilet.

  • Children are required to remain with parents/guardians at all times.

  • The government requires that all customers will need to provide a name and contact number, failure to provide this will mean we cannot serve you.

  • If you are asked by any of our staff to adhere to the guidelines, please remember they are only doing their job. If you fail to follow the guidelines you will be asked to leave the premises.

Diners:

  • Please book in advance or ring before attempting to enter for food. We have had to impose a maximum limit on people inside the building and we’d hate for you to have had a wasted journey.

  • Please arrive promptly at your booking time, do not arrive earlier as there is nowhere for you to wait indoors, you are welcome to get a drink and wait in the beer garden, weather permitting.

  • Please proceed to the far end of the bar where a member of staff will greet and seat you at your table.

  • To help minimise contact we then ask that you remain seated for the duration of your visit with us, the only exception is to visit the bathroom. We will provide full table service throughout your visit.

  • Your table will have been pre-sanitised before your arrival and once you are seated we will give you disposable menus and lay the table with pre-sanitised cutlery, disposable napkins and tableware (including disposal sachets of sauces and other condiments at your request).

  • We are limiting bookings to a maximum of 10 at the moment, but will take individual circumstances into account if you call to book – if we can accommodate you within the guidelines we will do our best.

  • Please remember the guidelines are for no more than 2 households to be together indoors.

Drinkers:

  • Unfortunately, we are currently only able to accommodate dining customers inside the building. Therefore, if you are not dining with us, we invite you to purchase a drink from the designated area of the bar to take outside to our picturesque beer garden.

  • Please queue, maintaining appropriate social distancing, and do not stand in narrow areas where others may need to pass.

  • Our beer garden provides ample seating for 60+ people. Each table is suitably spaced and we ask you to not move them.

  • When you have finished with your drinks please leave them at the table unless you are returning to the bar to collect more. Otherwise we will collect them.

  • Please remember the guidelines state no more than 6 people may be in a group – this can be from up to 6 different households.

Takeaways:

  • Telephone Orders, will be given a collection time and are asked to enter via the Beer Garden gate and collect their order from the designated takeaway hatch.

  • Orders in person will be given an approximate wait time and are welcome to wait in the garden with a drink until their name is called.

  • In the event that the weather is poor, we will be able to accommodate a small number of people waiting in the porch area – we will advise as necessary. It may be necessary for you to wait in your car at busy times to avoid congestion. In this case we will take a mobile number and call you when your order is ready.
